The Levantine Olive.

I was inspired to create this fictional brand by my family’s own olive farm in Jordan, where, during the fall, we would harvest the olives and create the delicious and decadent olive oil that the Levant region is known for. We would distribute the oil among family and loved ones, and during particularly fruitful harvesting seasons, would sell the surplus oil.

The result was the “The Levantine Olive”. This fictitious brand is a family owned business spanning generations that would sell a range of olive products. The business prides itself in the natural and organic nature of its products, and in the fact that the olives are picked, pitted, and milled by hand.

The logotype shares the organic element of the brand with its shapes and forms. The logo-mark, meanwhile has a sense of strength and stability with the geometric triangle; a shape which also ties into the familial attribute of the company, resembling a roof over ones head, or the top of a greenhouse. The triangular shape is also reminiscent of the hills of the farms on which olive trees are known to grow in Jordan and Palestine.
